Mapping Obligation Templates to Tasks and Sub-tasks for Your Team

Introduction

Mapping obligation templates to tasks and subtasks means that your custom obligations can collect data continuously once configured. Team members can go to AutoComply and fill that Sub-task and it will be available for download with that data in it.

How to create tasks

Once a custom obligation has been created, you can create tasks for your custom obligation. To create a custom obligation, see this guide.

To create a task,

1. Navigate to the custom obligation you want to manage and click Manage to the right of the obligation

2. Select Task Management from the dropdown menu.

3. For a simple task like a reminder or an activity that does not require a form, select Create Tasks without template, fill in the details and save the task.

4. For a task that requires a form (Excel sheet), select Upload a template, create task and click Get Started.

5. Upload your Excel Sheet and click Create task.

6. Follow the prompts on the right and fill in the details of the task.

Creating a subtask

Subtasks enable team members to carry out specific tasks on each custom obligation. To create a subtask for your custom obligation,

1. From your custom obligation task list, select Add a Subtask

2. Fill in the Subtask Description Title, Cell Selection, and Input Type. If you select the box to Accept multiple responses for this sub-task, it means that the cell you select can be filled in across the row.

Assigning Tasks

1. Click Compliance under the Home tab on the left menu bar

2. Select the Obligation you want to assign to your team members

3. Click the Tasks tab at the top menu

4. Hover over the 3 dots at the right of the obligation card and click assign task

5. Fill in the details and click Assign.
